Of MIce and Men 4

There are some considerable differences in Of Mice and Men the movie and book. The ending is one to consider. In the book Slim and everybody else shows up at the clearing. While in the movie there is only George. They also started the story wrong. In the book it starts off as Lennie and George enter the clearing. While in the movie they start it with the girl in the red dress running away. Also at the bunk house George is always playing solitaire while not reading a book. The pistol Carlson has is wrong. He had a Lugar not a Python or any other type of revolver. Lennie didn't hurl the pup across the room like he did in the book. And the way George kills Lennie in the movie was not discreet, like he did in the book.

The first time Curly saw Lennie and George he asked where his wife is in the book. While in the movie Curly asked where is my dad.  Curly didn't split the people to find Lennie like in the movie. Instead George told them which way Lennie would of gone. Lennie found the clearing in the book. While in the movie George had to find him in the stream.

Dear George

Dear George,
I agree on your decision to kill Lennie. Killing Lennie was a good idea because he kills just about anything. "Lennie looked back at the dead girl. The puppy close to her."(p.92) Lennie killed a small puppy and Curly's wife on the same day. It was a good idea to kill Lennie because he is very big,strong but clueless and a guy like that needs to know what he is doing so he doesn't hurt anybody else. But Lennie is clueless and he kill most animals that he likes. "I like to pet nice things with my fingers, sof' things"(p.90) Lennie likes soft things and many things that are soft are living. And he tends to kill them because he is too stupid to know what he is doing. Since Lennie is stupid and likes soft things and people likes to wear soft things he could end up killing another person because of the clothing they are wearing.

Killing Lennie with happy thoughts was a good way to end his life. Making him dream and not yelling at him would not make you regret your decision more. I think killing Lennie was the right idea because it would of been better for you to kill him then Curly. And Lennie has gotten you in a lot of trouble and had too many chances. So he probably deserved it. Letting Curly kill Lennie would probably haunt you because if he was gonna die you probably should of been the one to kill him. Either way Lennie would of died so ending him yourself would of been the best choice.

Of mice and men #2

 Lennie wants to leave from the ranch because he is afraid of Curly. " Le's go, George. Le's get outta here." (p.33) From the quote you can see Lennie dosent like this place. He also wants to leave from this ranch. " It's mean here" (p.33) Lennie also dosent like it here cause he thinks it is a mean place. Lennie dosent like it at the ranch from the way Curly talked to Lennie and George. And the way George tells Lennie to stay away from Curly, probably scares Lennie.

Of Mice and Men #1

1. I think Linnie is so dependent of George is because he needs somebody to lead him. I also think he needs somebody he can look up to like a dad. I think this because George always calls Lennie a bastard, so Lennie probably doesn't have a dad. Since Lennie doesn't have a dad, he uses George as a father figure.


2. I think George still keeps Lennie around because he knows George needs somebody to look up to and follow like a dad. George probably chooses the life with Lennie instead of a pretty good life, is because he knows Lennie would be hopeless without him. And with keeping Lennie around is like keeping a child around.

Speak Interview

1. The interviewers name is Drew Howe.

2. I think when the tree grows her voice grows. He thinks that because the tree is a symbol of growth and trees grow very slowly so she will come out of her shell as slow as a growing tree.

3.The schools isolates them self from Melinda because they think she is weird. And most kids hate her for what she did at the end of 8th grade. She also tries to hide because she wants to forget what happens that night. So the school is helping her isolate herself from the rest of the school

4.If the parents were more involve in her life they would know about her rape. So she would be more positive because people would be backing her up.

5. I like the book right now. I think its is close to reality because of girls get raped all the time.

College

1. I was happy with my grade but disappointed at the same time. I was excited that i got over a 3.5 in high school but a 3.8, is equal to all A's and a B, but I don't have any B's. I wasn't surprised when I got a 3.8 but i didn't know that in Humanities and Math-Physics class was worth 2 points and Multi-Media was worth 1. I'm still satisfied with my grade though.

2.I learned that MIT stands for Massachusetts Institute of Technology. And that its SAT and GPA scores are higher than all the other schools I had in my list. I also saw that my 2nd choice for a school was a bit easier to get in than all the schools i picked. I learned about UC Berkeley Torstein and i liked what i learned. I learned that it was a great school for technology. and that it will be closer to my home. If i chose Auburn University i would be closer to my dad. If i picked that one i would go to the school that my mom went to.

3. Im gonna try to keep my GPA over 3.75 because it would be a great GPA to applied to my college resume and im going to try to keep an A in math. If i can keep an A in math it would look good when i want to go to a school on engineering. 

Touch

The item felt like play-do but gooier. It felt like frozen water but it was not hard as a rock. I was anxious to touch the item. But i was also nervous because Diana said we had to wash our hands afterward. It was weird when Diana took my hand and stuck it in the vase. After i felt it for the first time i was puzzled by the touch, but i then realized it was a certain item. It was like touching pudding and much more mushy was involved. It was like a form of water but more compact. Also it was like touching a fish as soon as you catch it with all the gooey stuff coming out. My hand felt cold as soon as i touched the object.

Sound is Art

1.Magnetic Flux was in he description caught my attention as well as the colorful picture that comes from smaller to bigger. The picture made me want to listen to it because it was a colorful and weird. And "magnetic flux" made it sound mysterious.
2. The sound I listened to had static all over and sounds that only happen in science fiction. The frequency changes constantly from high to low in seconds. The sound will also be constant and the same with no changes. At some points it sound of a swarm of insects flying at the same time. Or a humming bird flapping in the wind. It starts slow and gets faster the noise vibrating quicker and quicker, picking up the pace then it would level out and be the same then like a piano it will get softer and softer. The sound sounds like a speed up version of the thing you showed us in class.

3. They could of add some sound effects like stuff that exploded. Also they should of add some different colors while it was projecting. And make the picture more mysterious by adding darker colors. Also they should give it a range of sounds. By hitting higher frequency s  and lower ones too. And add a wave like pattern to the sound .

MWB 3

I have felt like Danny before in 5th grade. I didn't know if i wanted to play with my friend Nicky or my friend Marcel. And i couldn't play with both because they didn't like each other. If i went with Nicky, Marcel would resent me and not talk to me for a while. And if i went with Nicky we would not know what to do and we would just wander around the field doing nothing. If i went with Marcel we would do some random game. I hate being in this position because i would lose a friend and gain a better friend. I would rather have both as friends. I went with Marcel we would talk about video games ( at that time i didn't really like video games he liked). If i went with Nicky we would talk about musical instruments and i hated playing a instrument so the conversation would be boring or he would tell me about his tall-tales about the various adventures he had while he was in Louisiana.

Mexican White Boy 2

1. I think Uno regrets hitting Danny because he knows he did it because of something else other than the incident with Manuel. Uno knows that he hit Danny because of how good he is and not the fact that Danny hit Manuel. Hitting Manuel was just and excuse to hit him. I think Uno will admit this to Danny eventually but not right now. If Danny becomes more open Uno might come out and tell Danny sooner.

2. I think Danny freezes up in front of the Leucadia Prep is because he has to make and impression. And in front of the National City people he can play his best is because he knows he is better than them and that he wants to prove them wrong for Sofia's sake. Danny is more tense around the Leucadia Prep and around the Natioal City he is more relax and he doesn't need to prove anything. And if he makes and impression with the people at National City they would vouch for him if he sees his dad

White MexicanBoy

I think that Uno takes his anger out on Danny, is a mixture of the fact that he might get beaten and that he hit his brother. Uno was already mad when Danny hit 3 tennis balls over the house and the fact that Danny hit Manny with the bat just gave him an excuse to fight Danny. Uno was different than everybody an he wanted to prove he was the same and better. When Danny hit 3 continusally hit the ball over the house, Uno thought that he might lose so he had to act fast. He did this by throwing the ball straight at him twice, and the result of that was his brother getting hit in the face.

Who am I?

My name is Dennis Onggo. My real name is Stevyndennis but most people call me Dennis. I have been swimming competitive for 8 years. I also like to surf. I play the drums and the piano. I like being with friends and family, I hate being alone. I was born in Bogor,Indonesia a series on islands in between Australia and Asia. I came to the U.S. when I was 2 years old. I started school in Alabama in a town called Auburn. I moved to San Diego 4 years ago and finished 3rd grade here. I started 4th grade in Vista Grande and 6th to 8th grade in De Portola. I made some friends in 4th grade that became my closest friends till now, most of them are going to our neighborhood school. I like being outdoors and going places with my friends. I do a lot of sports with guns. I like to play Paintball, I go every other weekend with a friend. I also like going to the beach. During the summer I went there everyday. I also did something called Junior Lifeguard, which is a program that trains you like a lifeguard but not as hard. I went to Hawaii this summer with my family. I have 2 stepsisters and a stepbrother. I have a stepdad named Michael, and a step mom name Diana who lives in the east coast with my dad. I have a 18 year old stepsister who lives in Alabama with my 4 year old stepbrother. I have a 13 year old stepsister who comes over every thursday.
